- built a lightbox from materials found at price center.
- sliced an orange and a bell pepper.
- put Jean-Jacques, my D200, to work.
- ate the orange.
- four hours on photoshop.
p.s.:
Life is easy to love when
- I have a daily exercise plan
- There are new clothes in my closet
- My room is freshly cleaned/re-organized (if you're going to visit me, visit soon please while it's still like this.)
- The people I surround myself with keep me healthy, laughing, and loving
- I truly look forward to the near, near-ish, and kind-of-distant future!

a frenzied, neck-breaking-to-read list of both meaningful and completely stupid things that i like.
art is a process and this process made me happy.
even little happy things make big sad things less scary.
and big sad things can be so very very scary..
a new beginning
time to turn past regrets into a guide for the future.
dear jennet,
(read carefully, and perform accordingly, when ready to thrive)
Find reasons to celebrate, daily. Make up reasons when reality's selection runs dry. Weed out all those songs on your ipod that make shuffle seem less appealing. Stop hesitating. Do things because you want to, habit shall not own you. Less movie theatres and restaurants. More talking and real bonding. Do not hold your emotions back. Laugh. Cry. Bake. Remember who you used to be. Trust the things that used to make you happy to still make you happy today. Read. Collect things. Fall asleep to your favorite, the Plant That Ate Dirty Socks audiotape. Less television and laptop monitor. More windowpanes, more skies. Make lists daily - you know it helps you de-stress and collect yourself. Be mindful that prideful defiance gets you nowhere. Chase dreams. But feel content and blessed for the present. Let friends know how much they mean to you. Less ice cream. More frozen yogurt. Trust your intuition about people. Do not trust your directional 'intuition'. Stop looking at your other tabs while you're writing this, FOCUS. Don't even try to stop being clumsy. But at least try to minimize your injuries. Foreign languages don't have to stay so foreign. Always refocus, reflect, remember what your senses were made to love. The feeling of a warm shoulder. The smell of freshly ironed clothes. The sound of graphite on paper. Stop being a kid only when you choose to. Remember how the simple things made your day. Leap across the cracks in the pavement. Link the oil bubbles in your soup with a chopstick to form one gigantic oil bubble. Tiptoe along the sidewalk curb, transforming into a gymnast atop a perilous balance beam. Keep standards up, but expectations low. Less walking in shopping malls. More walking underneath the stars. Less fighting. More singing. Stop telling yourself you are too old to learn this or that. Seriously, stop. Go ahead-Dance. Sing. Explore more instruments. Be more careful with your heart. But be not ashamed of what you already love. Be strong.
Repeat.

My final project for Dimensions of Culture. twas June in San Diego, and it rained all over my thingy.
Kind of obvious, it's a collage! Of magazine clippings to represent the standards with which the media expects me to judge myself .. what's beautiful, what's cool, what to care about, etc.
painstakingly cut out figures ..while watching gossip girl with the suitemates. I b.s.ed what those represent, something about the masses that the media has consumed, and how their interests overlap with mine, etc. I really just felt like using my new exactoknife.
For materials & memories of lesser significance, the L-word is never said too soon

the Human Interface | SO COOL.

So clean, so clevarr - check it
ColorSchemer.com | Millions of sets of color schemes! Something I'd never think of to google for but jeebus it's been so useful. The one I'm using is called MintyFreshness :)
Adam Polselli | Photographer and designer of sites that are "filthy cool", his website (adampolselli.com) is like a blog that's chock full of inspirations and stuff. Fun! Been on it for an hour today, at least.
Huh? | There is growing support for the opinion that I resemble Selena Gomez. Really? And should I have put this under the baad things list?
hmmm.
Lagging on dedication as a fashion student | I was both in Venice, and subsequently Milan, in the exact same times the Sartorialist was, and I didn't even realize soon enough to try to stalk him
...This.
- Reading my blogs of the past have made me realize how incredibly dumb I can make myself sound -- i.e. In my first xanga, http://xanga.com/xXj3nDaD1tzXx/, I wrote .... nevermind, the username did the job.
- Everyone does it; my first reaction: rebel.
Reasons to Blog
- I might as well face the truth. ..plus I plan on writing a lot less
- The boyfriend is a blogger, I can't escape from it much longer.
..and this brilliant username deserved a purpose!
In accord with my first reason, and because it's finals week..
Bonne nuit, you beautiful new blog! -- I have hardly-ambitious, but thuper-fun plans for you :)
